There are so many things to look at in every illustration...the cover page, for instance, tells you that a happy, little girl is going on a bus but do you see a bus? or only a window? Is the bus moving? How do we know? An illustration on 2-dimensional paper can give a likeness of a movement with just a few lines. Isn't it amazing!
